Program Overview
As the largest program in the country, we are proud of our storied tradition. Our graduates practice full service family medicine in nearly every state across the U.S. and in numerous countries around the globe. They serve their communities in a vast array of practice settings such as rural, suburban, international, inner city, and academic. JPS graduates are proven leaders in their communities at local, state, and national levels. JPS is known for unparalleled clinical experience and procedural training. In addition, rigorous academic instruction has resulted in record scores on the American Board of Family Medicine In-Training Examination each of the past fifteen years. We are passionate about the future. Since 2006, we have led the national in residency curriculum innovation to meet the needs of the communities our graduates serve. We believe a personalized approach to resident education will produce the best physicians and we will continue our innovations via the new ACGME AIRE project (Advancing Innovation in Residency Education).

We are passionate about the future. Over the past 10 years we have led the nation in residency curriculum innovation to meet the needs of the communities our graduates serve. We have focused on expanded, resident-driven individualized curricular tracks. As a participant in the P4 initiative (Preparing the Personal Physician for Practice) and ACGME Length of Training Pilot, we are excited to be contributing to the change in family medicine education, including our optional fourth year track to obtain specialized training in the areas of the resident's choosing. We believe a personalized approach to resident education will produce the best physicians.
